Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hanover Area). They put the hurt on the Tunkhannock Tigers with a sharp 11-5 victory on Tuesday.
Logan Richardson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Richardson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Kolbicka, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Conor Richardson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.
Hanover Area's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Tunkhannock, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.
