The Crystal River Pirates will face off against the Citrus Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crystal River comes in on four and Citrus on three.
Crystal River is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Weeki Wachee a 17-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Pirates have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley Castle was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Athena Childs was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Crystal River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Citrus made easy work of Central on Tuesday and carried off a 14-4 victory.
Paisley Williamson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Williamson was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
In other batting news, Citrus got a massive performance out of Makayla Hetman, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Hetman has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Makaila Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Crystal River's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Citrus, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Crystal River hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Citrus struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crystal River was able to grind out a solid victory over Citrus in their previous meeting back in February, winning 7-2. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
