The Crandall Pirates pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-55 to Plano West.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marlon Linton jr, who scored 17 points. The contest was Linton jr's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaz Wallace, who scored 15 points.
Crandall's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Plano West, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Crandall is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Kaufman at 6:45 p.m. on December 5th. Kaufman and Crandall are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Plano West, they will face off against Amarillo at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Amarillo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Plano West in Texas (Amarillo is ranked 15th, while Plano West is ranked 162nd).
