Jackson Prep extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AAA I District 2 this week by beating Starkville Academy, 49-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Patriots.
Presbyterian Christian took down Copiah Academy 44-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jackson Prep's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ryan Buchanan has thrown for 637 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Zach Williams has four catches for 187 yards. Hamel McGraw leads the league in rushing with 487 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Jackson Prep takes on the Bobcats. Ricky Black's team's offense has recorded 191 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Presbyterian Christian has permitted only 132 on the year.
The Patriots led MAIS AAA I District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Volunteers.
