SENECA, Mo. -
Seneca (Mo.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Monett (Mo.), 27-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Payton Rawlins to
Braxton Graham in the first quarter, the Indians led 14-0 at the half.
Seneca expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Graham touchdown run.
The Indians came in allowing an average of 27.6 points per game this season.
Seneca avenged last year's 34-26 loss to the Cubs with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for SHS, which lost to Carl Junction last week, 62-34. The loss was the third in a row for Monett.
In a Big 8 game next week Seneca (5-3) takes on East Newton, and Monett (5-3) will go up against Carl Junction also in a Big 8 game.
