The Brewster Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. They blew past Lake Roosevelt 65-34 on the road. Brewster's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Brewster's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Pepper Boesel led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan McGuire, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Brewster's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lake Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brewster won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Quincy at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th. Quincy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Brewster is ranked 15th). Lake Roosevelt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Okanogan at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
