Even though the Life Center Academy Warriors scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, the Blair Academy Bucs still came out on top. Blair Academy really took it to Life Center Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 95-57 victory at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Blair Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Life Center Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiyomi McMiller, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds. McMiller scored a full 33.3% of Life Center Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Shauna Curran was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Blair Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Life Center Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Blair Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hill School at 3:30 p.m. on January 13, 2024. As for Life Center Academy, they will take on Somerset Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerset Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
