The Axtell Longhorns will head out on the road to take on the Hubbard Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Axtell ended up a good deal behind Dawson and lost 68-54.
Hubbard suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Marlin 80-53. Hubbard has not had much luck with Marlin recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Axtell's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Hubbard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.
Axtell lost to Hubbard on the road by a decisive 46-30 margin in their previous meeting on January 2nd. Can Axtell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
