The Flippin Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Elkins Elks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Flippin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Harrisburg 55-29. Given Flippin's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Harrisburg is ranked 287th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Elkins put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bergman and snuck past 78-76.
Flippin's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Elkins, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Flippin beat Elkins 55-43 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Flippin repeat their success, or does Elkins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
