The Monroeville Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past Edison with a 38-33 win. That's another feather in the cap for Monroeville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gabi Cullen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. She also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Julia White was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Monroeville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Edison, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Monroeville will head out on the road to face off against New London at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. New London is on a six-game streak of home wins, Monroeville a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Edison will take on Margaretta at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
