Softball Recap: Little Cypress-Mauriceville Picks Up 11th Consecutive Victory

Little Cypress-Mauriceville entered their tilt with Silsbee on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Lexis Moss, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Frenzel, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive matches.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville pushed their record up to 24-4-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Silsbee, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
