Volleyball Recap: Kylie Harman Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Central Academy of Technology & Arts

Union Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cardinals were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Cardinals were just returning the favor.

Union Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylie Harman, who had 18 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Landry Carson, who had 13 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Union Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Union Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Union Academy will take on Parkwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Porter Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
