The University Christian Christians won the last time they faced the St. Johns Country Day Spartans, and things went their way on Thursday too. University Christian breezed by St. Johns Country Day at home to the tune of 76-35. With University Christian ahead 44-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Calvin Carter was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was BRYANT BOYKIN, who scored ten points.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erik Williams, who scored five points.
University Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for St. Johns Country Day, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-4.
University Christian will square off against Impact Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Impact Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully University Christian likes a good challenge. St. Johns Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
