Connor Sams Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Gretna East's Connor Sams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Sams rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory (which was Gretna East's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Sams and Gretna East will welcome Ralston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Chase Grow Makes It Two for Gretna East
Another Gretna East player making an appearance on this list is Chase Grow. He threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
