Apparently,
Barry J. Sanders will not follow in the footsteps of his famous father – at least when it comes to his choice of colleges.

According to the
Tulsa World, the
Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City) running back will spurn in-state Oklahoma State to play his college football at Stanford. Sanders is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders, who won the 1988 Heisman Trophy at OSU.
The newspaper cited a source close to Sanders, but Sanders didn't confirm the selection. He is expected to announce his choice during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will be played Saturday in San Antonio.
"I've been hearing that speculation through this whole process, so that doesn't surprise me," Sanders told the newspaper. "But I told people I would announce on Saturday, and that's what I'm gonna do."
The 5-foot-11, 195 pound Sanders is
15th best prospect nationally, regardless of position, according to MaxPreps. He rushed for 1,343 yards and scored 24 touchdowns this past season in leading the Chargers to the Class 3A semifinals.
He reportedly also considered Florida State and Alabama.{VIDEO_99492ec7-14f7-7b7c-65f8-93c22b130432,floatLeftWithBar}
