There's no place like home for the Charleroi Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over Frazier on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Charleroi, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Frazier's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dailan Mcmanus, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Brant Alekson who scored five points along with seven rebounds. Mcmanus is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played.
Frazier struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Charleroi's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Frazier, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charleroi will square off against Mt. Carmel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frazier, they will head out on the road to challenge Fort Cherry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fort Cherry's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests.
