After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Davidson, the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Guilford Home Educators 68-52. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Forsyth Home Educators considering their 22-point performance the match before.
Forsyth Home Educators was led to victory by Baylin Clodfelter and Cooper Clontz. Clodfelter scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Clontz dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Clontz has scored at least 25% of Forsyth Home Educators' points. Jake Fisher was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The win got Forsyth Home Educators back to even at 10-10. As for Guilford Home Educators, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Phoenix Academy at 3:15 p.m. on January 6th. Phoenix Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Guilford Home Educators, they will head out on the road to face off against South Wake on Monday.
