The Life Prep Fire won the last time they faced the Newton Railroaders, and things went their way on Thursday too. Life Prep blew past Newton 65-43. With that win, Life Prep brought their scoring average up to 57 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Life Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arthur Videira, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Piotr Luczak was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 blocks.
The win got Life Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Life Prep is on the road again on Friday and play against Hays at 8:15 p.m. on December 1st. As for Newton, they will square off against Thomas More Prep-Marian on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Thomas More Prep-Marian is ranked 51st, while Newton is ranked 36th).
