St. Helena is 8-2 against Cloverdale since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. St. Helena will be playing in front of their home fans against Cloverdale at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cloverdale will be up against a hot St. Helena squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went St. Helena's way against Salesian College Preparatory on Wednesday as St. Helena made off with an 11-3 victory.

Tahlia Smith was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lillian Grimes, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olive Filippini, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.
St. Helena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Cloverdale put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Middletown get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.
Camryn Bird was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Donahoo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
St. Helena's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cloverdale, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Helena hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Cloverdale struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Helena beat Cloverdale 5-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will St. Helena repeat their success, or does Cloverdale has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
