Park Tudor has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The North Vermillion Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Park Tudor has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 563 points over their last 11 contests.
Park Tudor can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Clinton Central at home to the tune of 48-6. Given Park Tudor's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Clinton Central is ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dj (darrell) gordon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 262 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 157 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. (darrell) gordon's longest rush was for an incredible 98 yards. Landon Guerra was in the mix as well, providing Park Tudor with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, North Vermillion had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Clinton Prairie. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
North Vermillion can attribute much of their success to Cody Tryon, who gained 280 total yards and five touchdowns, and Jerome White, who threw for 334 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per attempt.
Park Tudor's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 11-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Shenandoah and 1-8 Clinton Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.4% over those games). As for North Vermillion, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as the pair have no problem gaining yardage. Park Tudor has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 422.1 total yards per game. However, it's not like North Vermillion struggles in that department as they've been averaging 365.2 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
