Spring Creek has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Princeton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Spring Creek pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 80-57 loss at the hands of Eastern Wayne. Spring Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jackson Rose, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kamron McDaniel, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Princeton's 21-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 77-38 loss at the hands of Goldsboro. While losing is never fun, Princeton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Goldsboro is ranked 64th).
Spring Creek now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Princeton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
Spring Creek might still be hurting after the 62-39 defeat they got from Princeton when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Spring Creek, Aden Taylor (who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
