Central hasn't had much luck against Smiths Station recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will host the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

Smiths Station will be up against a hot Central squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Red Devils came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Opelika. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Opelika are ranked 119th) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Myles Walden and Parker Gessner scored both of Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Smiths Station challenged Auburn on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that Smiths Station have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Smiths Station and nudges their season record down to 5-12-1. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Everything went Central's way against Smiths Station in their previous matchup back in March, as Central made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
