The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 77-69 victory over Miller. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Grady Labishak continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bishop Rosecrans' points. Another player making a difference was Xander Daniels, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Miller lost, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Doughty. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with three steals. Doughty is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Perry, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Bishop Rosecrans has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Miller, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Rosecrans will take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Harvest Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully the Bishops like a good challenge. As for Miller, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Grove City Christian's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Falcons have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
