The Logan Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 55-14 loss at the hands of Wayne. Logan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wayne apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Wayne had a senior duo take command as Colton Mathis rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries and Jaxson Damron rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.
Logan's defeat was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.1 points per game. As for Wayne, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Logan will head out on the road to face off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wayne, they will be playing at home against Poca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
