Green Valley has struggled against Faith Lutheran recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Green Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Kyra Willey and Olivia Patai. Willey scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds, while Patai scored 0 points along with 6 rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Green Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Faith Lutheran racked up 19.
Faith Lutheran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Herpin led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. The matchup was Herpin's third in a row with at least ten points. Sami Monighetti was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
Green Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Faith Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
