There's no place like home for The Lindale Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 35-23 victory over Chapel Hill on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Lindale's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Chapel Hill is ranked 85th).
When it comes to explaining why Chapel Hill lost , one person who can't be blamed is Rickey Stewart. Despite the final result, he rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Stewart's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Another player making a difference was Jayvin Mayfield, who picked up 122 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Lindale has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Chapel Hill fell to 6-1.
Lindale will head out on the road to face off against Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapel Hill, they will be playing at home against Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Henderson is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
