Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead William Floyd to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shy Hawkins, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Meyer, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Brentwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 55-26 loss at the hands of Walt Whitman. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brentwood in their matchups with Walt Whitman: they've now lost three in a row.
William Floyd's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Brentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for William Floyd against Brentwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 53-11 win. With William Floyd ahead 34-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.
