Baseball Recap: Bishop Brossart Sets Scoring Season-High Against Ludlow

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Brossart). Everything went their way against the Ludlow Panthers on Monday as they made off with an 18-8 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Keagen Gulley was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Alex Noe was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Bishop Brossart hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.

Bishop Brossart's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Ludlow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Bishop Brossart will square off against Ryle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ludlow, they will face off against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
