MALDEN, Mo. - Leading by 23 points entering the fourth quarter didn't stop
Malden (Mo.) from scoring, as it added 16 points in the final quarter on the way to a 58-26 victory over Dexter (Mo.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Green Wave led 34-19 at the half.
Malden expanded its lead to 23 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored two times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.
With the win the Green Wave extended their winning streak to six games. Malden defeated the Indians 67-22 last week.
Ethan Stevens made a difference for the Bearcats. The freshman quarterback caught one touchdown. He has now scored one touchdowns on the season.
MHS's most effective player was
Mitchell Coleman. He ran for one touchdown.
The Green Wave got revenge for last year's 40-26 loss to Dexter with the victory.
