Marquette had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 8-2 to make it four. They put the hurt on the Dwight Trojans with a sharp 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Savannah Erickson and Kinley Rick were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Erickson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Rick didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. At the plate, Erickson got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Rick went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
