The Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Indiana School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
Even though Indiana School for the Deaf has not done well against Traders Point Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Indiana School for the Deaf came out on top against Traders Point Christian by a score of 56-44.
Indiana School for the Deaf got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Puent out in front who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jayden DeFalco, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Phalen Leadership Academy struggled with assists last Tuesday (Indianapolis Arsenal Technical had 1700% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Phalen Leadership Academy was outmatched by Indianapolis Arsenal Technical on the road and fell 83-46.
Phalen Leadership Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Derek Callahan , who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds, and Brenton Smith who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zinan Taylor, who scored 10 points.
Indiana School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Indiana School for the Deaf suffered a grim 70-46 defeat to Phalen Leadership Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022.
