Forestview hasn't had much luck against North Gaston recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jaguars will face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Forestview turned things around against Ashbrook on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Greenwave with a sharp 15-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguars considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Benjamin Denton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Denton was also big at the plate, earning two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Forestview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-10 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Forestview got a massive performance out of CJ Davis, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Davis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Kelly, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, North Gaston got themselves on the board against Highland Tech on Wednesday, but Highland Tech never followed suit. They blew past the Rams 10-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Jackson Livingston looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blake Mitchell, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aiden Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Forestview's record now sits at 5-10. As for North Gaston, their record is now 8-6.
Forestview might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from North Gaston in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
