Childress has gone a perfect 9-0 against Canadian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Canadian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Childress, who comes in off a win.
Childress' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Tulia 18-0. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by ten runs or more this season.

Ansley Parr was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 22 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Journey Prince was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Douglas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Childress kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.6.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Canadian lost 13-0 to River Road. The game marked the first time this season in which Canadian was not able to get on the board.
Canadian's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Childress, their record now sits at 13-11-1.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Childress hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Canadian struggles in that department as they've averaged .394. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Childress came out on top in a nail-biter against Canadian when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
