Jackson proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Washington County Bulldogs. Winning may never get old, but the Aggies sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Jackson was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (99-97), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 10-25, 21-25, 16-14.
Autumn Rocker paced Jackson's offense, picking up 14 kills. Rocker got some help from Neely Hebert and her 21 assists. Kristen Yeager controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.
Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Washington County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will venture away from home to face off against Leroy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington County, they will head out to square off against Blacksher at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
