Basketball Recap: Mccollum Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

A well-balanced attack led McCollum over Winn in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The McCollum Cowboys were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over the Winn Mavericks. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the Mavericks are ranked 1271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McCollum's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Winn, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

McCollum will be home for the holidays to greet San Antonio Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winn, they will head out to challenge Southwest at 6:30 p.m. on December 20th.
