It was a good run, but the Show Low Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-51 walloping at the hands of Holbrook. Show Low found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post nine fewer assists than your opponent.
Show Low lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Wallentine, who scored nine points along with three blocks. Wallentine is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Nash Brewer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Tyler Tapaha continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Holbrook, scoring 27 points along with five assists and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Tapaha has scored at least a third of Holbrook's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Becenti, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Show Low's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Holbrook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
Show Low will head out on the road to challenge Snowflake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Show Low is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62.8 points per game this season.
