The Salisbury Dragons will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Washington Jaguars at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Salisbury and nine for Washington dating back to last season.
Salisbury played against Parkside and lost via forfeit.
Last Friday, Washington took a serious blow against Wicomico, falling 79-16. Washington has struggled against Wicomico recently, as their contest last Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Salisbury's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Salisbury took a serious blow against Washington in their previous matchup back in February of 2017, falling 60-17. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Salisbury was down 33-11.
