On Saturday, Chavez had to suffer through a rough 57-21 loss at the hands of Washington.
Washington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danaya Pope, who scored 20 points. The contest was Pope's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Harvey, who scored 16 points.
Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Washington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
Chavez will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Westbury at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
