If the Parklane Academy Pioneers were feeling good off their 77-26 takedown of Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Parklane Academy fell 46-33 to Florence on Friday.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carlyle Carruth, who scored 10 points. Zoe Alford was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Parklane Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Florence, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Parklane Academy will head out on the road to face off against Clinton Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Florence and Port Gibson will face off at 5:00 a.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Port Gibson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
