Softball Recap: Santee Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Santee won the last time they faced West Adams and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 20-10 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Rose Reyes was incredible, going 4-for-6 with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Diaz, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Santee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Santee is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for West Adams, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Santee will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Los Angeles at 3:00 p.m. As for West Adams, they are taking a road trip to take on Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Democrats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
