La Salle lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Drew Ward, who picked up 212 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Ward's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. La Salle also got help from Alexandros Darlas, who showed off his sure hands for 86 receiving yards.
With the win, Harvard-Westlake broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for La Salle, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
