The Creekside Seminoles can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Northgate 64-35 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Creekside who now have four in a row.
Creekside was led to victory by Sydnee Hunter and C?india Dennis. Hunter scored 19 points along with four steals, while Dennis scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Hunter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lia Moore, who scored nine points.
Northgate's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Randria Wilcher, who scored 18 points along with two blocks, and DeAsia Stinson who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wilcher posted two or more blocks. Holly Metz was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Creekside is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Northgate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Creekside will challenge Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northgate, they will head out on the road to square off against Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Drew comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
