They really took it to Covenant Life for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-36 victory at home. That's another feather in the cap for Mount Airy Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Airy Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Gilbert, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Brewer, who scored 12 points.
Mount Airy Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Covenant Life, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Mount Airy Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 397 points over their last five games. As for Covenant Life, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
