Basketball Game Preview: Timberlake Christian Tornadoes vs. Faith Christian Academy

Timberlake Christian has gone 10-0 against Faith Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes will head out to challenge Faith Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Timberlake Christian and seven for Faith Christian Academy.

Last Friday, Timberlake Christian lost to Westover Christian Academy at home by a 62-43 margin.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Sawyer Epps, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last six times he's played. Jonathan Dowd was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Timberlake Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 53-27 to Christian Heritage Academy. Faith Christian Academy was down 41-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Faith Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Timberlake Christian, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Timberlake Christian against Faith Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 65-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timberlake Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
