The Edgewood Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 38-20 win over Lakeside on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Edgewood, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Edgewood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zeke Lucas, who rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Jacob Ernst was another key contributor, picking up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Edgewood now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lakeside, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6.
Edgewood will face off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
