They and the Faustina Academy Falcons will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Lakewood Presbyterian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to the Saints. Lakewood Presbyterian has not had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Lakewood Presbyterian saw an underclassman step up: Yarnell Freitas scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Freitas has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Faustina Academy strolled past the Royals with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Faustina Academy.
Lakewood Presbyterian dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Faustina Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Lakewood Presbyterian was dealt a bruising 75-44 loss at the hands of the Falcons when the teams last played on Monday. Can Lakewood Presbyterian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
