The Kenwood Broncos will head out on the road to take on the Englewood Stem Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Englewood Stem took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kenwood, who comes in off a win.
Even though Chicago Mt. Carmel scored an imposing 70 points on Saturday, Kenwood still came out on top. Kenwood took their contest against Chicago Mt. Carmel 82-70. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kenwood.
Christopher Riddle was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleks Alston, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Englewood Stem's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Curie 86-44. While losing is never fun, Englewood Stem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Curie is ranked third).
Kenwood's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Englewood Stem, they bumped their record down to 5-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
