Sam Skiljan and Matthew Finkler provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Beachwood. The connection was good for 63 yards, the longest such play in Chagrin Valley - Valley this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Kirtland beat the Bison 52-12. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Kirtland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Skiljan threw for 145 and 1 touchdown and Finkler had 81 yards receiving. On the ground Sam Kukura chipped in 202 yards. Kukura helped Kirtland's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 41 yards.
Kukura was a passing and rushing force as Tiger (Phillip) Laverde's team defeated Beachwood. Kukura's favorite target this week was Finkler, who caught 2 passes for 81 yards.
Finkler was the best receiver in the league this week as the Hornets bested Ryan Williams' team. Kukura helped Kirtland's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 41 yards.
Kirtland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Skiljan has thrown for 985 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Ryan Loncar has 16 catches for 367 yards.
Kukura of the Kirtland is only 49 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 67 carries Kukura has put up 951 yards this year.
An important game coming up in Chagrin Valley - Valley this week will be when Cardinal takes on Berkshire. At the moment, the Huskies are in second, while the Badgers are in third.
The Hornets took down the Bison 52-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kukura ran for 202 yards in the win.
