The East St. Louis Flyers entered their tilt with the Normal West Wildcats with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. East St. Louis took their game at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 54-7 victory over Normal West. Considering East St. Louis has won six matchups by more than 40 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Larevious Woods had a dynamite game for East St. Louis, rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Rico Bond, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
East St. Louis' victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points per game. As for Normal West, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
East St. Louis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Normal West also has no future games currently scheduled.
