Chilton is 9-1 against Brillion since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Lions at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Chilton 2.7, Brillion 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, Chilton didn't have quite enough to beat Kewaskum and fell 5-4.
Sophia Pingel was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Brillion strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Hilbert with a sharp 15-2 win. Considering the Lions have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jocelyn Tamm made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Tamm was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Carter Miller and Kennadie Ott did most of the damage at the plate: Miller got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Ott went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Ott has posted since back in April of 2024. Ella Kuchenbecker also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Brillion always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Brillion pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Chilton beat Brillion 18-13 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
